Limited Edition 3DS Coming to North America

It looks like we can haz special 3DS after all! After spending upwards of a week drooling all over my computer screen and cursing Europe, it seems us rabid fans on this side of the pond won’t be left out in the cold after all…Bestbuy employees are confirming that we can look forward to getting our hands on a special edition 3DS alongside our European counterparts. Additionally, a leaked GameStop flyer indicates that there will be a trade-in option available for customers who already own a previous generation DS. This is good news for those of you with a DSi XL especially, since GameStop will knock off $100 of the retail price and sell you a brand new limited anniversary edition 3DS bundled with either the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3DS or Super Mario 3D Land (depending on which bundle you opt for) at a staggeringly low $99. The rest of us can look forward to paying $119.99 (with DSi trade-in), $129.99 (with DS Lite trade-in) or $199.99 regular price.

Who else is planning on picking up one of these bundles in time for the holiday season?

  1. I’ll be picking this up assuming I still have $200 after Christmas shopping for family/friends.
