Youtube App Available For 3DS

youtube_logoThe official Youtube app for 3DS that was previously announced in a Nintendo Direct has finally launched for North America and Europe. The download will take up 113 blocks on your memory card. There is also the option to watch videos in High Quality and sets it to full screen instead of having a black box outside the video.

[Update: December 2, 2013] After using it for several days and reports from social media, the video quality currently available on the app, even on it’s “High Quality” mode is garbage and is not worth the time and space to download it at the current time.

What Are You Looking Forward To Play?

Vector_Green_Christmas_TreeWith the PS4 and Xbox One being released in time for the Christmas season, what games are you most looking forward to play in the next few months? I’m definitely looking forward to playing some Smash Bros and Mario Kart on some of the current/older consoles over the Christmas with friends. This is one of my favourite remixes of a classic Donkey Kong Country 2 theme. Sturm Und Kong is part of an album that can be found on OC Remix and is also where many other remixed fan made songs can be found. Hope you enjoy!

Nintendo Network ID and Miiverse Making The Jump To 3DS

3DS and Wii U eShop balances are now being merged with the upcoming 3DS update, which means leftover funds from either console can be used with the other. And on top of that, Nintendo Network IDs will now be shared across both the WIi U and 3DS platforms with the upcoming December update.

Nintendo also hinted at the possibility of unified accounts across both platforms with NNID. The following is a PR release from earlier.

REDMOND, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– A December system update for the Nintendo 3DS portable system will allow users to combine their Nintendo eShop account balance for both Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. Nintendo announced the news during a Nintendo Direct video released earlier today.

After the Nintendo 3DS system update, users can register their Nintendo Network ID for Wii U on their Nintendo 3DS systems and combine Nintendo eShop account balances. This will enable them to purchase Wii U software using the remaining balance on their Nintendo 3DS eShop accounts, and vice versa. Nintendo 3DS owners who do not own a Wii U system can also create their own Nintendo Network ID for the first time.

This system update will also mark the beginning of Miiverse support on Nintendo 3DS. With a Nintendo Network ID and a wireless Internet connection, users will be able to connect with players around the world to share their experiences and game tips through Miiverse on Nintendo 3DS.
