As of right now, E3 2020 has been cancelled.
The ESA (Entertainment Software Association), the organization responsible for E3 will soon announce that they will be cancelling the three day expo. Indie game publisher, Devolver Digital posted a brief tweet of :”Cancel your E3 flights and hotels, y’all.”
A source spoke to Ars Technica said they heard the news of the expo’s cancellation and an official statement from the ESA was supposed to come out on March 10, but hasn’t yet.
No explanation of the exact cause of the expo’s cancellation has come out yet. Last month, the ESA adressed concerns about Coronavirus/COVID-19 and the effects on major expos and that they want to plan for a safe and successful E3.
