Anker SoundCore V40i TWS Earbuds Review

I recently picked up the SoundCore V40i Open TWS earbuds on sale for $40 CAD. It normally retails for $100 CAD or $65 USD.

These earbuds rest on the outside of your ears and hook around your ears for comfort. With 4 levels of adjustments on the ear hook, I found it to fit well and is comfortable and light for longer durations, especially as the earbuds weigh 10 grams each. The 6 hours of playtime is extended to 21 hours with the included charging case, which I found to be good enough. Connectivity wise, it features Bluetooth 5.4 and multipoint connection to two devices which is convenient. I have it connected to my Android phone and Nintendo Switch 2 and have no issues with connectivity or audio dropping. The charging case features a USB C charging port with no cover as the earbuds magnetically attach. I’ve found that the earbuds are very securely attached by the magnets and are not prone to fall out.

For the audio quality, I found it to be decent enough. The bass and treble comes through well enough and lets in ambient noise from your surroundings as it was designed for. The earbuds feature a 4 microphone array enhanced with AI. The call quality is good and the party on the other line could hear me clearly. If you’re looking for top notch audio quality, you will want to look at a proper set of over or on ear headphones.

Overall they’re a good pair of budget open ear wireless earbuds with decent audio quality for music and voice calls. If you’re looking for something that has higher audio fidelity, you’ll want to look elsewhere. We’d rate these earbuds 7/10 for what they are for the price.
