
Some pretty exciting announcements with the newest Nintendo Direct!
With the latest Nintendo Direct, there has been some pretty big announcements. From Square Enix, we’re getting Kingdom Hearts 4 on day one and will be a multi-platform release on XBOX, PS5 and PC (Steam, Epic Games, XBOX on PC). No release date yet for that. The Kingdom Hearts Collection(1-3) is making it’s way to Switch 2 on October 8. Also Final Fantasy Resonance as a surprise reveal.
The biggest reveal came at the end with the Ocarina of Time remake announcement. There is no set release date but is scheduled for some time in 2026.
- A new Xenoblade installment under the name of Xenoblade Genesis is slated for 2027
- Splatoon Raiders, a new single player Splatoon title is releasing on July 23. A dedicated Direct is scheduled for June 30.
- Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World releases on Switch/Switch 2 on December 3
- Final Fantasy Resonance is a new HD 2D turn based JRPG and will be available on Switch, Switch 2, PS5, Xbox X/S and PC on October 22.
- Free Star Fox demo and the full game gets released on Switch 2 on June 25.
- Nintendo Switch Sports Resort for Switch 2 launches on October 22 It includes 12 sports like Boxing, Table Tennis, Archery, Tennis, Volleyball, Bowling, Basketball, Golf, Thumb Wrestling, Skateboarding, Power Cruising and Prop Plane.
- Xenoblade Chronicles 2 & 3 are getting the Switch 2 Edition treatment. Release dates are July 30 and December 3 respectively.
- Devil May Cry 5 releases on Switch 2 on June 23
- Donkey Kong Bananza DLC
- Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Wave gets a September 17 release
- Pokemon Pokopia DLC
- Rhythm Heaven Groove releases on July 2 on the Switch
