PlayStation CEO trolls Nintendo for making “babysitting tools”

Looks like Sony’s Jack Tretton is resorting to some troll mongering and trash talking Nintendo on a recent interview with Fortune. That’s some pretty big talk for the CEO of the last place console maker who seems to be as confident as Charlie Sheen in his delusions of being at the top.

“Our view of the ‘Game Boy experience’ is that it’s a great babysitting tool, something young kids do on airplanes, but no self-respecting twenty-something is going to be sitting on an airplane with one of those,” he says. “He’s too old for that.”

I’m pretty sure that Resident Evil Mercenaries and Metal Gear Solid for the 3DS aren’t what you call “babysitting material” there, Tretton. And if you think that this self-respecting twenty-something will put down his DS and 3DS, think again cause they’re practically glued to my hands, along with the GBA SP that’s on the shelf by my bed, while my PSP collects dust in some unknown corner in my home.
