Injustice: Gods Among Us

The creators of Mortal Kombat are making a fighting game using DC characters. Members of the Justice League and key villains will appear. Many characters received updated looks as well such as Batman resembling the one from Christopher Nolan’s movies.

Just recently, Warner Bros. confirmed that Nightwing and Cyborg will join the roster.

The game will get a T rating which will tone down the violence a lot. However the creators are hoping to push the T rating to its limits. Here’s hoping it will be an improvement to the bizarre Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe game. Injustice: Gods Among Us will be released 2013 on Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U. Anyone else hyped for this game?

  1. Most exciting announcement so far, can play as Nightwing and Cyborg. Epic announcement/s would be as follows. Ability to play as Red Hood (Jason Todd), Batgirl #2-3/Black Bat (Cassandra Cain), give us characters we haven’t seen in games(or even much outside of comics), The Question, Huntress. Also nothing much on how it will play? Will it be a large expansive fighter where you can beat opponents into other parts of a larger fighting area. Or will it be a 2D fighter with large environments. Just how many characters will be in, what version. Who will be voicing these iconic characters? What is going on in the story (what’s bringing them all together to fight).

Lots of potential, and that its on the Wii-U has my cautiously interested in it. But with so many variations in DC characters over the years and to me nothing in the trailer that looked like more than a second or so (less) of actual gameplay footage has me slightly worried in that regard.

Also is it just me or does Flash get beat up a little TOO often in this trailer T_T.

  2. If anything, I’m more worried on how the guys from MK can pull this off under the T rating limitations without turning it to a strange mess like their MK vs DC game.

The game should have an expansive roster seeing as DC characters don’t have to share the spotlight with the MK gang this time. The developers have much more freedom on how deep they want to delve into the DC universe. I’m sold if they announce Azrael- the guy should fit right in this game. Bizarro maybe?
