This is a long term review of the Razer Orochi v2 Wireless Mouse. I bought it three years ago for $60 CAD and have used it predominantly for office work with some gaming on the side.
The mouse weighs 60 g without a battery and with an AA battery installed, it weighs 72 g. It connects to a computer through a 2.4 ghz USB A dongle or bluetooth and uses either one AA or AAA battery. Battery life on AA lithium battery is rated for 425 hours on 2.4 ghz or 950 on BT. With regular usage, a single AAA bettery lasts me around 3-4 months before it needs to be swapped.
The mouse comes in white, black and a few other colour variations. The matte plastic does pick up dirt with usage and can be easily wiped clean with a damp cloth. The mouse has a low profile design with a round back and tapered front and the scroll wheel is rubberized with grooves to maximize grip. There is no RGB lighting and Razer’s logo is placed on the back and is done so tastefully.
The DPI sensor is rated for 18k with 400/800/1600/3200/6400 DPI stages and can be changed on the fly with a DPI button below the scroll wheel. Six programmable buttons (L/R button, clickable scroll wheel and 2 side buttons). Software for customization is available for Windows, but sadly no compatible spftware for MacOS.

The mouse is great for FPS gaming as the click latency is low. I’ve used it to play a wide variety of games and does well for action games that require quick reaction times. It’s good for regular office usage as the side buttons can be used to go back and forward between folder or web pages. I’ve had no reliability issues with the mouse over years of usage.
With connectivity, Bluetooth has been the most reliable as the 2.4 ghz USB dongle suffers from wireless interference in my experience. The mouse is comfortable to use for medium or large hands and for those that prefer a fingertip or claw grip and I’ve had no problem using it for long periods of time.
With long term usage, it has held up well and feels well built and durable. The buttons have had little to no signs of degradation and are as responsive as a new unit. There is minor wear and tear on the L/R buttons on the shell but is as expected and the rubber on the scroll wheel has held up surprisingly well. Overall it’s a great mouse for gaming and office work with good responsiveness for clicks and sensor, a long battery life and solid build quality.
