PSA: Wii U Gamecube Adapter Only Compatible With Smash Bros

wiiu-gamecube-adapterIt was originally announced yesterday that the Gamecube Controller adapter for the Wii U would be compatible not just with Super Smash Bros., but with all games that made use of the Wii U Pro Controller. Sadly that is not to be. Nintendo has now cleared up with their official accessory listing that this adapter will only compatible with Smash Bros. It’s definitely a shame that there currently won’t be more support for the Gamecube controller.

Gamecube Controller Adapter Coming To Wii U

GCN-Wii-U-AdapterNintendo just announced that there will be a Gamecube Controller adapter coming to the Wii U soon. There is no release date or price for the adapter as if right now, but this means you’ll have one more way to play the upcoming Smash Bros for the Wii U. Anyone thinking of picking up one of these bad boys for their Wii U?
