3DS Launch Titles in Japan

With the semi-imminent launch of the 3DS in Japan, Nintendo has released a list of launch games for the 3DS.

  • Winning Eleven 3D Soccer
  • Super Street Fighter IV 3D
  • Sengoku Musou Chronicle
  • Nintendogs + Cats
  • Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle
  • Combat of Giants
  • Tobidasu! Puzzle Bobble 3D
  • Ridge Racer 3D

I’ve gotta admit that this lineup isn’t looking too shabby right now, even though it lacks some pretty big titles like Ocarina of Time and Kid Icarus: Uprising, but I’m hoping that the North American and European launch titles can match and exceed it.

  1. Also without a Mario game, don’t you think it’s looking a bit weak instead? None of those 8 have the “must get for 3DS” feeling, well maybe Professor Layton. Well at least compared to DS when that came out, it got Super Mario 64 DS.

  2. With ssfiv and layton its alright. I’m looking fwd to kid icarus and mario kart when those hit store shelves. I’m hoping for a stronger showing for the north american and european launches.

  3. I was really looking forward to Mario Kart 3DS as a launch title but that list is seriously weak. SSFIV and layton are great games but I don’t know if they are “must gets” and everything else is at most “wait and see” titles.
