Today Lucasfilm and Disney announced that Star Wars VIII will be released on December 15, 2017 instead of Summer 2017 as previously slated. It is written and directed by Rian Johnson and is in pre-production. Principal Photography will commence in London next month. Either way, I’m stoked for the next movie!

Well it looks like George Lucas has finally jettisoned from LucasFilm after originally creating it back in 1975 and is now going to be doing some indie films out of his garage. Let’s hope we get to see some of what he makes! May the Force be with you Lucas!
