New Intel CPU Prices

Went to my local parts store today to see if they had the new Sandy Bridge processors for sale. They had the boxes up but no product just yet. Kind of disappointing but it was to be expected. For the most part, they were taking pre-orders. There were a lot of people eyeing the new cpu (boxes) and quite a few that actually ordered. Continue reading

Playstation Phone is…

Dragon Quest X Info Coming Soon

The Wii exclusive Dragon Quest X will have some info that will be unveiled on Jan 21, 2011 when the popular Japanese “V-Jump” will have their next issue in about two weeks hitting store shelves. Since its announcement in 2009, info on this game has been nearly non-existent and I’m hoping this game will be good since I’ve been hearing good things about DQIX on the DS, which came out last year.

DRM No More Mr. Ubisoft

More and more games are released these days with DRM technologies to try and control the way games are played. They are viewed as a way to prevent users from playing illegally downloaded copies and also aid in disabling any hacks or exploits (to a lesser extent). About a year ago, Ubisoft caught on with this and started releasing games that were only playable online. In other words, even offline modes required a connection to the internet. Even worse was the fact that the game would malfunction if you lost connection during offline play (e.g. campaigns). The assumption made by Ubisoft was that all gamers had a connection to the internet anyways. Continue reading

Hilarious Starcraft Tutorial For Little Girl

So I’m surfing around and I find this super cute video of a little girl watching her dad play Starcraft II. She keeps asking questions and her dad actually tries to explain to her what is going on. “Where are the poop-creams?” “Can they big it?” LOL absolutely hilarious. Continue reading

Angry Birds makes its way to PS3/PSP first

Angry birds will be heading to Wii, DS and Xbox 360 later this year, but it hits PSN later this week, says Sony. The original 63 levels will be available and add-on levels like the season themed ones available on iOS and Android will probably be available in the future. There hasn’t been a price released for it yet, but until then, we’ll be flinging those birds on our phones.

3DS escapes factory and makes it into the wild

It seems that a production 3DS has made it out of a chinese manufacturing factory. Nintendo has been tweaking the design since the announcement in June and it looks great. Now lets hope he grabbed a few 3DS games on the way out.

The Last Story

The Last Story is a JRPG that has been in development for the past few years by Mistwalker Studio and is published by Nintendo for the Wii. It is as I would like to describe it as the definitive RPG for the Wii, even though it looks like it may become an exclusive release for Japan. Continue reading
