Behold, Avatar Korra! Straight from the co-creators of the highly popular and award winning series, Avatar The Last Airbender, comes Avatar Korra. The series is now set for release in early 2012, on Nickelodeon (pushed back from a November 2011 release) and judging from the early images of our new Avatar, seems like the new series will be well worth the wait.
If you’re a fan of fantasy movies or a JRR Tolkien fan, you’ll already have watched Lord Of The Rings in theatres when it came out in theatres and probably have the DVD box set for it too. Now the extended version, like its theatrical version has gone Blu Ray! If you want to check it out, Amazon has it for pre-order here! And you’ll be sure that I’ll be having a LOTR marathon once that Blu Ray box set arrives in the mail!
Ocarina of Time 3D just got sweeter just this past week. A Nintendo representative let slip at GDC 2011 that the Master Quest will be included in the same cartridge. It’s a great chance to play both games re-mastered in 3D (pun intended) and its definitely one of the better Zelda remakes.
The new Skyward Sword trailer looks pretty good. It seems that the game is in the last stages of the development cycle. I’m definitely excited for this title to come out in Summer 2011
Star Wars Episode I The Phantom Menace gets a release date of Feb 20, 2012. Now all those podraces, lightsaber duels and epic space dogfights will be shown in epic 3D in that galaxy far, far away. Now to wait for George Lucas to milk the franchise and release it as a 3D Blu Ray combo pack ten years from now.
Super Mario 3DS was unveiled yesterday at GDC 2011. It’s a welcome reinvention of the series on the new Nintendo 3DS platform. If the tail on the logo foreshadows anything, the Tanooki suit may make an appearance in the game, and if not, it still pays homage to Super Mario 3.
