Animal Crossing New Horizons Switch 2 Edition + Free 3.0 Update
In a surprise move, Nintendo has announced the Switch 2 Edition and a fre 3.0 update to the game will be released on January 15, 2026. The Switch 2 upgrade pack can be bought separately $5 USD/$7 CAD or the full Switch 2 version of the game can be bought for $65 USD/$90 CAD.

Nintendo Switch 2 Reveal Trailer
Nintendo has finally released a first look trailer for the Nintendo Switch 2. It will be backwards compatible with both physical and digital Switch games, bigger screen and has magnetic joycons with revised joysticks and a U shaped kickstand. No major hardware specs have been noted, but there will be another dedicated Nintendo Direct on April 2, 2025.

3DS and Wii U Online Servers Offline
It’s the end of an era with official 3DS and Wii U Online Servers going offline permanently. Games that had previous online play modes like Mario Kart 8, Animal Crossing New Leaf, Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, Kid ICarus Uprising and Super Smash Bros are now limited to local single or multi player.
